Hearts Of Love: A Valentine Greeting…

Valentine's Day 2015/House Appeal

On a day devoted to love…

Valentine’s day was associated with romantic love during the High Middle Ages when the tradition of courtly love flourished. During 18th-century England, it became an occasion in which lovers expressed their love for each other by bestowing flowers, confectionery and sweet delights and accolades of paper “Valentines” trolling love in written form. And of the keys to our hearts? In Europe, Saint Valentine’s Keys were given to lovers “as a romantic symbol and an invitation to unlock the giver’s heart”. Love holds the key to our hearts, indeed. Let’s not forget the symbol of Cupid’s bow & arrows of love. A day of acknowledgement of love, for certain…
